Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC
Certified Nurses Day 2017
National certification is a voluntary process that demonstrates advanced nursing knowledge and promotes excellence. The achievement of professional certification in a specialty practice area reflects a commitment by the individual nurse to ongoing professional development and to the profession of nursing.
At CMCVAMC more than 137 plus nurses are certified, and the number continues to rise. Mr. Daniel Hendee, FACHE, Director and Coy Smith ND, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, FACHE, Associate Director, Patient Care attended the event and praised certified nurses for their dedication.
A registered nurse license allows nurses to practice, but certification affirms advanced knowledge, skill and practice to meet the challenges of modern nursing. At CMCVAMC, we are proud to employ so many dedicated certified nurses.
CMCVAMC celebrated Certified Nurses Day on March 22, 2017 with a breakfast reception honoring those nurses who contribute to better patient outcomes through national board certification in their specialty. Attended by Director Daniel D. Hendee, FACHE and Dr. Coy Smith, Associate Director of Patient Care Services/Nursing.
